Stainless Steel Bins
Centralized stainless steel sets are used for high profile areas and buildings. They are an alternative to the standard sets, featuring a modern triangular or quadrangular design.
Standard Sets
The standard bins used when Cal Zero Waste implements composting and recycling in a campus building. A set includes four bins: compost, landfill, mixed paper, and cans and bottles. The bins have lids to contain smells, keep out pests, and discourage contamination.
Laboratory Bins
Made from durable lightweight ABS plastic, Busch bins are used in research laboratories. The lid flaps are designed to minimize contamination.
Cabinet Sets
Each unit features four cabinets which contain the different waste streams: compost, mixed paper, landfill, and cans and bottles. They are also retrofitted with unique signage and lids to encourage waste diversion.
Desk Side Bins
Desk-side bins are being phased out across campus to improve landfill diversion and custodial workload efficiency, as well as reduce costs. If your office would still prefer to purchase desk-side bins, they will have to be emptied by building occupants into centralized standard bins.
Solar Compactors
Powered completely by solar energy, each unit compacts up to 33 gallons of recycling, landfill, or compost materials. They also alert grounds services via text message whenever they reach capacity and feature an enclosed design which keep wildlife out
Compost Barrels
Compost barrels hold 32 gallons of material, making them ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, events, and other high traffic areas.
Wheeled Carts
Carts come in 32, 64, and 96 gallons. Compost is available in all sizes, while mixed paper and landfill are available in 64 and 96 gal. Their compact and light ergonomic design make them a great alternative to dumpsters.
Event Boxes
Event Boxes are used for outdoor events. They feature a durable and lightweight design, making them easy to service, store, and distribute. Dimensions: 30" x 20" x 20"
Dumpsters
Dumpsters are used to store various materials for a given building or facility. They are located in an an enclosed area and are serviced regularly by Cal Zero Waste operational staff.
Summit Compactors
Summit Self-Contained Compactors are engineered for efficient, leak-free waste handling in space-constrained environments. They are designed to handle wet waste safely while maximizing operational efficiency and site cleanliness.
Nedland Compactors
Compactors fit easily into limited areas with no leakage from wet waste. These compactors are built to provide durability, reliability with many years of maintenance free service.
