Certificate Program in Facilities Management

The Certificate Program in Facilities Management provides the knowledge, tools and skills needed for successful facilities management, along with a thorough understanding of the critical business-decision-making process of the facility manager. You learn industry-essential subjects such as operations and maintenance, strategic planning, commercial real estate, project management, space planning and construction management.

With a curriculum overseen by an advisory board of industry and education leaders and approved by the University of California, Berkeley, Department of Architecture, you are assured of a relevant, up-to-date education. The certificate also includes content that addresses all 11 competency areas recognized by the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA).

Advanced Program in Sustainable Management

"The Advanced Program in Sustainable Management covers the foundational topics in sustainability, carbon management, environmental business strategy, project implementation, environmental law and policy, compliance management systems and climate change risk-mitigation strategies.

Learn how to comply with environmental regulations, as well as design and implement sustainability practices in cost-effective ways in the public and private sectors. Complete the courses that will enhance your knowledge and skills in the areas that reflect your career objectives."

EHS 702 Heat Illness

The risk of heat illness affects everyone on campus, both outdoors and indoors. CalOSHA regulations require employers to take immediate action to support employees who exhibit symptoms of heat illness. All employees are required to take Heat Illness Prevention Training ( EHS 702 ) to understand the signs of heat illness, know how to respond, and learn how to stay safe when working in hot weather.
