Last year Cal's curtailment efforts saved 871,000 kWh and 1,420,000 lbs of steam in 12 days. That's the annual energy use of over 64 average US homes! This year we're shooting for over 1 million kWh and 1.5 million lbs of steam. Help us prevent this wasted energy with super easy but surprisingly impactful actions like making sure equipment and lights are shut off before you leave your room or office, and turning down thermostats and radiator valves. Use this checklist to help you make sure you get everything turned off before you leave!
