Safety

FS 101 (Required of all FS Employees)

FS 101 is a required course for all Facilities Services employees upon employement.

Workplace Safety

The Workplace Safety training(link is external)(link is external) is available as an eCourse through the UC Learning Center(link is external)(link is external). This one-time mandatory training for all campus employees (faculty, staff and student employees) provides valuable information on responsibilities, work-related injuries and illnesses, analyzing hazards and applying controls, what to do in a campus emergency, and resources available to you. Incident Investigation

Supervisors, Department Safety Coordinators (DSCs), and safety committee members: Do you know how to conduct a thorough investigation after an accident occurs in your department? Are you aware that serious injuries require the immediate notification of the Office of Environment, Health & Safety(EH&S)?
Investigation of accidents is not only required by law, it can also help prevent future accidents. Follow the steps outlined below to comply with the law, improve procedures and conditions, and create a safer work environment.
