Whadya mean, Human Library?
On November 15th, Facilities Services is holding their very own Professional Development Day and the DEI Team will be hosting a table, where we will be debuting our Human Library. Exactly what is that? Well, our team members have agreed to sit down with you one-on-one and let you hear their story, ask awkward questions (no judgement) and get more comfortable with someone not in your normal inner circle. We all come from different places and have different life experiences that lead us to think in a certain way. By checking out a member of the Human Library, you’ll have a brief opportunity to learn about someone else’s way of looking at the world and to share your perspective, too. This kind of communication narrows the gaps between people and (we hope) improves our corporate culture. Please join us on Nov 15 at Stanley Hall (1-4pm). Stop by our table, learn a little about what we’re about, and check out one of our brave Library “books”. We all have a story to tell. What’s yours?
