Lead Times for Service Requests

Facilities Services aims to provide reliable service for our physical campus along with reasonable response times for the variety of work we provide. Please read below to learn more about how the work order process works, how to make requests, and usual lead times for certain types of requests.

Electronic Access

In support of the campus soft reopen on 6/16/21 Facilities Services Electronic Access team has processed all updated Access Control Forms received by the deadline 5/28/21 as well as those received through 6/15/21.

At this time card access additions can only be made by the FS Access Control team. If you require card access, please contact your departmental access controller to submit a Facilities Services Electronic Access Request Form.

Shutdowns

The Facilities Services Shutdown desk provides support to all campus clients requiring an interruption to one of our building systems or utilities. The shutdown desk reviews and processes all requests ensuring and contributing to a safe building environment for all.

Maintenance Request

The CSC operates 24/7. Work Orders (WOs) are issued for general maintenance or custodial needs.

If at any time you require or have a new maintenance request, there are two avenues for obtaining maintenance services.

Access Issues in Campus Housing (Residence Halls & Campus Apartments)

For UC Berkeley Housing residents and staff experiencing issues with access issues (including issues with keys, locks, fobs and readers):

Lost or stolen keys

Lost or stolen keys: Before we can replace a lost or stolen key a police report must be filed with UCPD. To report a lost or stolen University key or credential (card-key), please contact UCPD at (510) 642-6760 (or 510-642-3333 for TTY users) at any time of day or night to file a police report.
