Approved Zero Waste Caterers and Facilities

A Zero Waste catered event requires all materials generated at the venue to be reusable, and recyclable or compostable if no feasible alternative exists.

Funded by The Green Initiative Fund, the Zero Waste Event project was originally created to assist all events at UC Berkeley in achieving zero waste. To accomplish this, Cal Zero Waste created zero waste guidelines for both event caterers linked below.

The Zero Waste Caterer Guidelines are designed to provide a framework to help caterers and facility managers successfully make their events zero waste.

In order to be listed as a Cal Zero Waste approved zero waste caterer, please download the guidelines below and return a signed copy to Zero Waste Manager, Lin King at ltking@berkeley.edu
